February Notes
Wow, I can’t believe it’s the last day of January! Thanks so much for an awesome Pinewood Derby! Thank you Bob, Dzung, Mike Colin and Bob for all your help. Thank you to everyone who gave us help on Friday and Saturday. All the events we do rely totally on the help of each of us! Thank you!! Congratulations to all the winners and to everyone for showing good sportsmanship - win or lose!
Here are some February notes:
Feb 3rd is Scout Sunday
Everyone is invited to join us and Troop 142 at the 11am Mass. 3 Panthers will be receiving their Religious Emblems. All faiths are invited. I encourage families to join us to show our appreciation to St James for all they do for us. I do realize that people belong to other churches and have responsibilities at those churches. Scout Sunday is a national day so the boys can wear their uniforms to their church and still honor their Duty to God. There may even be a reserved section at your church. Please let me know if you will be joining us so I can have a correct number of seats reserved. We will be sitting in the front left section and gathering at 10:30. Those who have 10:30 Rel. Ed. are excused!
Hockey Game
Everyone has their tickets. We will be meeting at our seats! There are 67 or us going so it should be fun. The boys should wear their shirts but not kerchiefs. See you there!
Feb 5th
We are encouraging all the boys to wear their uniforms to school! Scout Sunday kicks of Scout week (and month) and Tuesday is meeting night for most of our dens.
To the future:
Blue N Gold is Feb 24th at 5. The cost is $5/person over 5. Invite your family, friends and anyone who wants to eat and celebrate with us. The theme is Jungle Safari and the food is Pasta. We will be giving out other den awards so please get them into your leaders by Feb 19th. A head count is needed by the 12th so email me your RSVP!!!
